Billboard and W Hotels are teaming up to announce their second annual Next Up: New Artists, New Music concert series, which highlights rising artists with intimate performances in New York, Las Vegas and Santiago, Chile.
Swedish singer-songwriter LÉON kicks off the lineup at the W New York in Manhattan on August 7, with a performance open to W Hotel guests, members of the Starwood Preferred Guests rewards program and lucky fans selected through sweepstakes.
Born and raised in Stockholm, LÉON struck pop gold with her hit single “Tired of Talking” last year, and dropped her second EP, For You, in March.
Fans can also access exclusive video content, artist interviews, and other behind-the-scenes sneak peeks for each artist on Billboard.com and W Hotels’ music platform, The Angle.
“Last year’s Next Up series and partnership with W Hotels was a tremendous success, bringing music fans across the United States closer to artists that have strong voices and fresh perspectives,” says Julian Holguin, Billboard’s SVP of brand partnerships. “Billboard looks forward to the continued partnership with W Hotels to highlight music’s best new talent, and shine a spotlight on some of the best up-and-coming artists making music today both in the U.S. and abroad.”
Look out for more announcements, as Billboard and W Hotels reveal additional artists coming to Las Vegas in September and Chile later this fall. Last year, Next Up featured the likes of Gryffin in Washington, D.C., Gallant in Los Angeles, Calif., Skizzy Mars in Minneapolis, Minn. and Bebe Rexha in Seattle, Wash.
Billboard is offering a small number of fans a chance to attend this private event with LÉON and get an intimate look at one of music’s brightest new talents. To enter, submit you information via the form below.
