Who will go home with Billboard Music Awards when the show goes live May 20? We won’t know until next month — but we’re about to find out who has the best shot. On Tuesday morning, the nominations for the 2018 Billboard Music Awards will be announced, and you can watch it all go down.
The reveal will begin on the Today show, during the 8 a.m. hour, when Khalid and Bebe Rexha will announce the first handful of nominees. Then, Billboard will go live on Facebook — via the Billboard Facebook page and the Billboard Music Awards Facebook page — to unveil nominations across all categories.
The live stream, hosted by Kevan Kenney, will take place live from the Billboard offices in New York City. Khalid will be a guest on the stream after his Today appearance, joining Billboard‘s Jason Lipshutz and Xander Zellner and Vibe‘s Shenequa Golding.
The 2018 Billboard Music Awards will air on NBC for the first time this year, broadcasting live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The three-hour event — produced by dick clark productions — will also commemorate 60 years of Billboard charts. Nominees for the BBMAs are selected through a number of factors, including key interactions with music fans, album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement, as tracked by Billboard and its data partners over a 12-month period.
