The 2011 Billboard Latin Music Conference will host its first-ever marketing awards, honoring the best marketing, branding and sponsorship campaigns of the year that use Latin artists and Latin songs.
The awards, covering four categories, were created in recognition of the increasing role of brands and sponsors in the promotion and marketing of Latin acts and music. They will also coincide with the release of the 2010 U.S. census numbers, which are expected to show a dramatic growth in the U.S. Latin population that will affect advertising rates and budgets for the immediate future.
Agencies, brands and labels are being asked to submit campaigns launched between January 2010 and January 2011 in the following categories: Best print campaign, Best online or social campaign, Best TV campaign and Best tour sponsorship. A link for submissions can be found on the official Billboard Latin Music Conference website at www.billboardlatinconference.com.
Winners will receive their awards during the 22nd annual Billboard Latin Music Conference, and will also be profiled on Billboard Magazine and featured on Billboard.biz with a link to their campaign and website.
The Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards, presented by State Farm, will take place April 26-28 at the Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach. The Conference will culminate with the Billboard Latin Music Awards, which will air live on the Telemundo Network and will also be seen in over 75 countries worldwide.
