A poll on Miami conducted by international polling company Zogby found that the Billboard Latin Music Conference & Awards was one of the two best-known events in the city.
The national poll, which was conducted in January and included over 7,000 adults from around the country rated Miami’s high and low points.
On the entertainment and cultural end, while people rated Miami’s entertainment offerings as good (40%) or excellent (31%), most were not aware of specific events.
The best known of the city’s events was the Miami International Boat Show, which 17% of respondents recognized, followed closely by the Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards, which just under 17% had heard of.
This year’s 19th annual Conference and Awards will take place April 6-10 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fl. The awards will air live on the Telemundo network on April 10 from the Hard Rock Live.
