The latter half of Rod Stewart’s career will be surveyed on “Encore: The Very Best Of – Vol. 2.” Due Aug. 26 from Warner Special Markets, the collection covers hits and favorites released between 1975 and 2001, including “Infatuation,” and “Tonight I’m Yours (Don’t Hurt Me).”
Also featured is Stewart’s version of Elton John’s “Your Song,” his rendition of Carole King’s “So Far Away” and a take on “That’s What Friends Are For.” Ron Wood appears on a version of “People Get Ready” from Stewart’s 1993 “Unplugged… and Seated” set, while the Temptations appear on a collaboration on “The Motown Song.”
As previously reported, “Now” was recorded and produced by Frampton in his Cincinnati home base with his touring band. The first single will be “Verge of a Thing,” due to ship to U.S. radio stations in early August for airplay consideration.
