With much of Florida still recovering from Hurricane Wilma, the city of Sunrise has called off tomorrow’s (Nov. 3) solo Bruce Springsteen show there, citing public safety concerns, including widespread power outages affecting traffic signals in the area, according to a statement. The show has been rescheduled for Sunday.
“The City of Sunrise has assured us that the proper precautions are going to be in place by Sunday, Nov. 6, for the fans to get to and from the concert unharmed,” the statement says. All tickets for the original show will be honored; additional tickets are still available for the show via Ticketmaster.
Similar concerns caused Depeche Mode to cancel its show tonight at the Fort Lauderdale BankAtlantic Center. The opening night of the band’s North American tour will now take place tomorrow at the St. Pete Times Forum in St. Petersburg, Fla. All Nov. 2 tickets will be honored at the new location and refunds will also be available if fans cannot attend.

Shout! Factory has set a Jan. 24 release date for a double-DVD set culling interviews and performances from “The Tomorrow Show With Tom Snyder.” The package is highlighted by Snyder’s 1980 interview with the Sex Pistols’ John Lydon, which culminated into an unabashed argument between the two men, plus a 1977 “round table” discussion about punk with Joan Jett, Paul Weller and concert promoter Bill Graham, among others.
Also featured are 1981 live performances from such luminaries as Elvis Costello and the Attractions (“New Lace Sleeves,” “Watch Your Step”), Iggy Pop (“Dog Food,” “Five Foot One,” “TV Eye”), the Plasmatics (“Head Banger,” “Master Plan”), the Jam (“Pretty Green,” “Funeral Pyre”) and the Ramones (“We Want the Airwaves,” “I Wanna Be Sedated” and “The KKK Took My Baby Away”).
