Rihanna Shows Off Frizzy Hair in New Pic from ‘S&M’ Video Shoot
Rihanna shared a photo from the set of her “S&M” music video yesterday (Jan. 19) after excitedly discussing the video shoot on Twitter. “Had a fantastic weekend shooting my best/favorite video EVER!!!!” the pop star posted before unveiling a picture of herself sporting red frizzy hair and holding an ice cream cone. Joe Jonas Reveals Daft Punk as Solo Inspiration
Joe Jonas, who is currently working with producer Danja on his debut solo album, credited electronic musicians like Daft Punk, Frankmusik and Justice as some of his biggest influences. The Jonas Brothers singer and his producer confessed they were inspired by the Daft Punk’s score for “Tron: Legacy,” and Jonas revealed his intentions of exploring the genre in his new album, which might be released later this year. Ke$ha’s ‘Tik Tok’ is The World’s Top Selling Digital Single
Ke$ha, had the world’s biggest selling digital single with “Tik Tok” in 2010, according to the annual digital music report published today by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). Her ubiquitous pop-rap track sold 12.8 million copies, which was three million more than Lady Gaga‘s “Poker Face” which was legally paid for 9.8 million times. Eminem‘s “Love the Way You Lie,” featuring Rhianna, came in at No. 3 selling a scant 100,000 less than “Poker Face.” ( Billboard.biz)
Diddy Announces Free London Show
During an in-store appearance in London today (Jan. 20), Diddy announced that he and his group Dirty Money will be playing a free show in the city within the coming weeks. An official announcement about the show or how to obtain tickets has not been released, but Diddy hinted that he would be back to the city in about “two weeks.” (NME)
“Glee,” “Burlesque” Nominated For GLAAD Awards
“Glee” and “Burlesque” are among the nominees at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation’s 22nd Annual GLAAD Awards, which recognize portrayals of same-sex equality issues in mass media. “Burlesque,” starring Cher and Christina Aguilera, received a nod in the category of ‘Outstanding Film – Major Release,’ while Fox’s “Glee” was nominated for ‘Outstanding Comedy Series.’ The awards will be held in New York on March 19, Los Angeles on April 16 and San Francisco May 14. Tinie Tempah To Release “Disc-Overy” in U.S.
U.K. rapper Tinie Tempah has announced plans to release his debut album, “Disc-Overy,” on May 3 in the U.S. The 22-year-old rap star, who has been nominated for four BRIT awards, will also perform on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Feb. 2.
