My Morning Jacket has canceled its fall European tour, as frontman Jim James is still recovering from injuries suffered after a stage fall this month in Iowa City, Iowa. “Our hope was to merely postpone the tour, but as our scheduling does not allow that to happen in the immediate future, we feel it is best to cancel this tour in hopes of re-scheduling at some point,” the band says in a statement.
The trek was to begin Oct. 29 in Dublin. MMJ’s calendar is thus cleared until Dec. 27-28 in Chicago, which will serve as make-up dates for shows postponed in the immediate wake of James’ injury.
