50 Cent and Good Charlotte have joined Coldplay and Christina Aguilera as confirmed performers for the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony, to be broadcast live Aug. 28 from New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
P. Diddy, Ashanti, Kelly Clarkson, Redman, Evanescence, Ludacris and Snoop Dogg will also be on hand for the 20th annual event, which are to be hosted by comedian Chris Rock. As previously reported, Sepultura and former Faith No More/current Tomahawk leader Mike Patton team up on “The Waste,” which appears on the Roadrunner soundtrack to “Freddy Vs. Jason.” The band is planning an October North American tour.
