‘Glee’s’ Matthew Morrison Announces Summer Tour
Matthew Morrison, aka Mr. Schuester on “Glee,” has announced a 22-city nationwide tour this summer. Morrison will be touring behind his upcoming solo album, out May 10. The tour, which will feature regional glee clubs as the shows’ opening acts, kicks off June 18 in Minneapolis and wraps July 23 in Los Angeles. (The Hollywood Reporter)
Ke$ha to Perform on Nickelodeon Sitcom ‘Victorious’
Pop tart Ke$ha will appear on Nickelodeon sitcom”Victorious” Apr. 22, in an episode titled “Ice Cream for Ke$ha.” The singer will play herself while the rest of the cast participates in a contest to win a personal, private concert with her. “Blow,” Ke$has latest single, will be the featured musical number for the show. Lil Wayne’s Post-Prison ‘I Am Still Music’ Tour Is His Biggest In Gross, Attendance
Lil Wayne’s I Am Still Music tour, which began March 16 in Providence, R.I., basically picked up where Wayne left off as one of hip-hop’s elite touring artists before facing prison time. Tour producer Shawn Gee tells Billboard that the tour is averaging better than 10,000 per night and a summer leg is currently being planned. Gee also claims that by the time the tour ends, it will be Wayne’s biggest ever in terms of gross and attendance. (Full story at Billboard.biz)
The Get Up Kids, Saves the Day to Co-Headline Summer Tour
Pioneering emo-rockers the Get Up Kids and Saves the Day will join forces this summer for a 10-date jaunt of the midwest and northwest. While the reunited Get Up Kids’ album “There Are Rules” dropped in January, Saves the Days’ “Daybreak” will see a fall 2011 release. Full dates below:
