Mariah Carey, Wynonna and Ashanti are among the artists who will perform on the two-hour special “Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade,” which ABC will air Dec. 25. Stacie Orrico, SheDaisy and former “American Idol” finalists Diana DeGarmo and Josh Gracin will also perform on the special, which will be hosted by “Live With Regis & Kelly” co-hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa.
Carey will perform “Joy to the World” and “All I Want for Christmas” on the program, which will air from Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. In related news, the singer will also make a high-profile appearance on Dec. 31 when she hosts the grand opening of Pure nightclub at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Carey is also launching the fashion line Kiss Kiss next year, which will initially offer lingerie.

Hoobastank is expected to return to action at the MTV Asia Awards on Feb. 3 in Bangkok. The postponed dates will likely be made up later that month.
The group was last week nominated for three Grammys, including best rock album for “The Reason” (Island) and song of the year for the hit title track.

That cut, as well as the EP’s “She’s Hearing Voices,” is included on the 13-track “Silent Alarm.” Other songs confirmed for the album are “Like Eating Glass,” “Helicopter,” “Positive Tension,” “This Modern Love,” “Pioneers” and “So Here We Are.”
The lone dates on Bloc Party’s upcoming itinerary are Tuesday (Dec. 21) and Wednesday in Tokyo. As previously reported, vocalist Kele Okereke appears on the track “Believe” from the Chemical Brothers’ new album, “Push the Button,” due Jan. 25 via Astralwerks.
