Lil Wayne Won’t Work With Justin Bieber
In his July/August XXL cover story, Lil Wayne said that despite persistent requests from Bieber, he won’t work with him on a song. “That’s my n-gga, but I can’t do it,” said Wayne. “Like I said, I don’t want to f-k his shi-t up.” It’s certainly a bummer — especially when you consider Bieber’s close ties with artists on Weezy’s Young Money label — but Weezy seems to have the teen sensation’s best interests at heart. Rihanna Chained In Another ‘S&M’ Lawsuit
Five months and 28 million YouTube views later, Rihanna is being sued over her “S&M” video — for the second time. 19-year-old Phillip Paulus accused Ri-Ri of using staging and sets from his August 2010 Paperworld spread in her video. Imagery of Rihanna, dressed in a floor-length gown and restrained by a plastic sheet against a teal wall, mimics his fashion shoot, according to Paulus. “Why a worldwide celebrity is not able to afford a creative director, who creates individual concepts and stagings, is incomprehensible to me,” said Paulus to Radar. And he’s not the only one who feels ripped-off. In February, David LaChapelle sued Rihanna over another scene from the “S&M” video. (E! Online)

Big Boi Challenges Fans To A Game of Words With Friends
OutKast rapper Big Boi is a master of the spoken word, so he decided to take his talents to the online game Words With Friends. Tweeting his Words With Friends handle (Bitchkilla2) yesterday, Big Boi threw down the gauntlet and told fans to “come get sum.” And, of course, he’s been talking/tweeting plenty of smack: “I’m playing 30 motherfuckaz at the same time, be patient, I got an ass whoopin for each and every 1 of u !” (Rolling Stone)

Gary Calamar is both a DJ at KCRW in Santa Monica and the music supervisor for HBO’s vampire hit, “True Blood.” The latter means he gets to do cool things like ask Nick Cave and Neko Case to record a cover of The Zombies’ “She’s Not There” for the show’s fourth season premiere. Listen over at the KCRW site.
