Katy Perry’s New Single To Feature Kanye West
“E.T.,” the fourth single off of Katy Perry‘s sophomore album “Teenage Dream,” will be released to radio this week, and Kanye West will make a featured appearance on the track. West will also appear in the music video for the track, which was directed by Floria Sigismondi (David Bowie, Björk, Marilyn Manson).
Owl City Writes Love Song to Taylor Swift
21-year-old Adam Young, better known as Owl City, revealed in his blog the reasons behind his inspiration to write a love song for pop superstar Taylor Swift on Valentine’s Day. According to young, he “decoded” a secret message in Swift’s song “Enchanted”,that spelled his name. “I figured such an eloquent gesture should be reciprocated by the most polite, heartfelt and respectful response I could possibly muster,” Young wrote.
Panic! at the Disco Bump Up Album Release
Panic! at the Disco have pushed up the release date of their third album, “Vices & Virtues,” to Mar. 22 due to “public demand,” according to a press release. First single “The Ballad of Mona Lisa” was released earlier this month, and the group will perform at the Roxy in Los Angeles on Mar. 1.
Black Keys’ Carney Engaged Before Grammys
Before winning a trio of awards at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards with his band the Black Keys, drummer Patrick Carney got engaged to his girlfriend, Emily Ward. The couple was betrothed in Los Angeles 24 hours before the ceremony on Sunday night (Feb. 13). The Black Keys later won awards for Best Alternative Album (for “Brothers”), Best Duo/Group Rock Vocal Performance (for “Tighten Up”) and Best Packaging. ( Spinner)
Vince Neil Enters Jail
Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil arrived at Clark County Detention Center today (Feb. 15) to begin a two-week sentence for a Jan. 26 DUI charge. This followed a June arrest in Las Vegas in which the singer had a blood alcohol level of nearly three times the legal limit. Following his two-week stint behind bars, Neil will spend 15 days under house arrest. ( TMZ)
Clipse’s Pusha T Releases Solo Single
After appearing on Kanye West‘s “Runaway,” Clipse member Pusha T has released new single “My God” on his website. The song is rumored to be included on his upcoming mixtape “Fear of God.” ( Pitchfork)
