Poster for Justin Bieber Movie ‘Never Say Never’ Revealed
Justin Bieber recently released the poster for his upcoming 3-D film, “Never Say Never,” which is set to hit U.S. theaters in February 2011. The poster features Bieber wearing a letterman jacket embroidered with a the letter B. Although the poster offers minimal details, it provides fans with a link to sign-up for a mailing list to “B a part of it,” and encourages fans to promote the film via Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. Rihanna and Drake Release New Single ‘What’s My Name’
Rihanna premiered a new song today (Oct. 15) with rapper (and ex-boyfriend) Drake, titled “What’s My Name,” on New York radio station Z100. Although the two may not have been able to work it out romantically, they have certainly proved their compatibility in the studio with this sex-themed track. “What’s My Name” is the second single off Rihanna’s “Loud,” which is due out Nov. 12. D.C. Club Owner and Employees Charged With Second Degree Murder
DC9 nightclub owner Bill Spieler, 46, and four of his employees have been charged with second degree murder for beating a man to death after he threw a rock through the window of the Washington, D.C. club. D.C. Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier says that the rock thrower, Ali Ahmed Mohammed (27), was the victim of a “savage beating.” (Washington Post)
Elton John Launches Week-long Sirius XM Channel
Elton John announced yesterday (Oct. 14) that he will be launching his own radio channel called “Elton!” on Sirius XM satellite radio. The channel will last one full week starting today (Oct. 15) and will feature Elton’s music, as well as interviews and guest DJs including Robert Downey Jr. and Andy Roddick.
The XX Release Free iPhone App
The xx recently released a free iPhone and iPod touch app that incorporates the audio sculpture on the band’s self-titled debut album. With the app, users can watch each of the members from the xx play his or her part and sync the videos with other users to create the full song. (NME)
The Black Keys and Waka Flocka Flame Release Halloween Costumes
The Black Keys and rapper Waka Flocka Flame recently released dress-up kits just in time for Halloween. The Black Keys’ kit comes with a fake beard and glasses at a cost of $20, while Waka Flocka’s is a printable paper mask available on his website for $5.99. (Prefix)
