Joe Jonas recently premiered the first tracks from his solo debut, “Fast Life,” and now he’s talking about tour plans for the album, out in September. Jonas is not sure if he will be touring solo or in an opening slot for another artist, but his dream would be to open for Chris Brown, who co-wrote Jonas’ first single, “See No More.” (MTV)

So how does one prepare to battle the most powerful dark wizard in the world? By listening to a lot of Radiohead, it turns out. In an interview with Access Hollywood, “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe said that music from Radiohead and Hope of the States helped get him in the mood to shoot climactic scenes with Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes). Andre 3000 Could Star in Jimi Hendrix Biopic?
Although rumors have been circulating for a while, there may soon be a Jimi Hendrix biopic on the horizon, starring Andre 3000 of Outkast as the rock legend. “Captain America” star Hayley Atwell told Esquire that the biopic might be her next project, but it’s not set in stone. In 2004, Andre told EW that he would be portraying Hendrix, but no film was ever produced. According to Atwell, the rapper might have finally landed the role he has been vying for. (Esquire)
Mick Jagger’s Dance Moves to be Shown Off in ‘Moves Like Jagger’ Vid
File this one under surprisingly unsurprising: Mick Jagger is rumored to appear in the video for Maroon 5’s new single, “Moves Like Jagger” — via archive video footage. On Thursday (July 7), Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine tweeted that Christina Aguilera, fellow “Voice” coach who also guests on the song, will also appear in the video, which will be helmed by lauded director Jonas Akerlund. Passion Pit Tease New Album
Passion Pit lead singer and keyboardist Michael Angelakos took to Facebook on Tuesay (July 5) to drop some hints about the electronic act’s next album. I won’t get into any detail, but I promise you that it is going to be beautiful, exciting, and fun record…if you liked the last record, you will love the new one [sic],” he wrote. It will be the band’s first record since 2009’s “Manners,” and Angelakos will be producing and writing it. (Boston Phoenix)
Kid Rock Plans New Record
Even though the summer leg of his “Born Free” Tour has just started, Kid Rock has already begun thinking of his next record. He said he plans to begin recording next year and hopes to get the record out by the summer. Rock said he’s looking back to his 1998 breakout “Devil Without A Cause,” and said that with his latest, “Born Free” producer Rick Rubin (whom he hopes to work with again), “wanted to bring out the serious stuff in me, and we got it. Now I’m going to turn that frown upside down.” (Rolling Stone)
