Henry Rollins will host a new TV show about movies, “Henry’s Film Corner,” on IFC. The monthly series debuts Dec. 4 and features Rollins giving his commentary on films. A different “off-the-street” person will be a guest critic in each episode.
In addition, the series will feature guests discussing how their professions are portrayed in different films. For example, in the pilot episode, real adult-film stars will comment on the film “Boogie Nights,” which was set in the porn industry.
In addition to starring in “Film Corner,” Rollins has roles in two new movies due in 2005: the horror film “Feast” and romantic comedy/drama “The Alibi.”

The International Music Managers’ Forum (IMMF) has postponed a planned series of fundraising concerts for victims of the current crisis in Darfur, western Sudan. The initiative was expected to kick off with an event in mid-December at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Organizers will instead look to relaunch the project in the summer of 2005.
John Glover, chairman of the U.K. division of IMMF, says that the project was unable to rally enough assistance for a December launch. “We couldn’t get enough support to make it happen in time. It would have been better had it occurred now, because now is when the money is needed,” Glover tells Billboard.biz.
The project was spearheaded by the IMMF, the London-based umbrella organization for Music Managers Forum (MMF) chapters in 13 countries, including the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

Instrumental rock act Out Hud has completed its sophomore album, which is tentatively due in March via Kranky. According to a spokesperson, the album will be preceded by a three-song single to be released on 12-inch vinyl. In addition, Out Hud will return to the live stage with a Dec. 4 show at New York’s Mercury Lounge.The group shares members with fellow New York act !!! (pronounced “chik chik chik”), which also plans to play some shows in December. The lone confirmed date thus far is a New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) performance at the Last Drop in Philadelphia.
