Gloria Estefan’s as-yet-untitled first children’s book will be published in November 2005 in both English and Spanish. The artist’s own pet English Bulldog Noelle is the inspiration and star of the story.
I have found a new and very unique connection with Noelle,” says Estefan. “She came to be a part of our family quite by accident and has brought us unforgettable experiences that I hope to share with the readers of my book based on her real life experiences.”
In addition to the story, the Rayo/HaperCollins book will feature a CD with a song based on Noelle’s story written and recorded by Estefan.

Buddy Guy, Otis Rush and Honeyboy Edwards are among the artists lined up for the Legends of the Blues concert, Jan. 28 at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall in New York. In a career that has found her on Windham Hill and RCA-affiliated labels, new age pianist Liz Story has signed to the all-digital independent label Digital Musicworks International. She joins the relatively new label’s growing eclectic roster, which also includes singer/songwriter Dwight Twilley, rock act redlightmusic and jazz guitarist Lino, among others.“I feel genuinely excited about working with the people at DMI,” Story says. “They have an intelligence, enthusiasm and energy that have been missing from the music business for some time.
