Demi Lovato Hits the Studio with Timbaland, Missy Elliott
Demi Lovato is currently prepping her third album for a September release, and the teenage singer is apparently working with Timbaland and Missy Elliott, which the former revealed by tweeting “4 am: @MissyElliott and demi lovato @ddlovato working hard in the studio! #demiandmissy,” and posting a photo last night. In January, Timbaland posted a video of himself praising Lovato and saying that he had written a new song for her. ( Idolator)
‘Idol’s’ Pia Toscano to Play ‘So You Think You Can Dance’
“American Idol” singer Pia Toscano will perform her new single, “This Time,” on the Aug. 4 episode of “So You Think You Can Dance.” She follows Lady Gaga, who performed on this week’s show. ( THR)

Chuck Berry Statue Displayed in St. Louis
An eight-foot statue of music legend Chuck Berry was unveiled in his hometown of St. Louis on Friday morning. “It’s glorious — I do appreciate it to the highest, no doubt about that,” says Berry, who was also honored in a taped message from Elvis Costello during the ceremony. ( Rolling Stone)
Feist Announces Fall Tour Dates
After revealing that her next album, “Metals,” will arrive Oct. 4 on Cherrytree/Interscope, Feist has plotted a few tour dates in support of the new full-length. The singer-songwriter will hit Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle in November. (Pitchfork)
