Counting Crows will join the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra for an Oct. 25 show at Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Concert Hall. It’s the fifth concert in the Argent Mortgage Orchestrated series, which has previously featured LeAnn Rimes and Duran Duran. Tickets for the show go on sale Sept. 10.
Counting Crows have been off the road in recent months and have not released a new studio album since 2002’s “Hard Candy.” Next month, guitarist David Immergluck will play some dates with his side band, Monks Of Doom, including the Cracker & Camper Van Beethoven Camp Out on Sept. 9-10 in Pioneertown, Calif.

The appearances come in the wake of yesterday’s (Aug. 30) release of Juliet’s Virgin debut, “Avalon,” produced in collaboration with Stuart Price (aka Jacques Lu Cont), with additional production from Jacknife Lee and Guy Sigsworth. The album’s title track and second single, “Ride the Pain,” each reached the top of Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.
Earlier this year, Juliet opened several arena shows on Duran Duran’s North American tour. The Pennsylvania-born, London-based artist is planning further U.S. dates in the near future.
