Glee star Matthew Morrison is lashing out – against Britney Spears. When ased recently if a full episode of Glee would be devoted to Britney, he responded, “”That’s a rumor her manager started. I hope our show doesn’t go along that route.”

Rapper Yung Joc has signed a recording deal with Polo Grounds Music/RCA Music Group as well as a production deal with Battery/Jive Records for his own imprint, Swagg Team Entertainment. Joc is currently working on his new album, tentatively titled “Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood,” which is scheduled for release later this year.

Bad Boy/Interscope Records has signed Brooklyn rapper Red Café to their new label partnership that was cemented late last year. Café is preparing the release of his debut album, “Red October,” which will be co-executive produced by Bad Boy Records CEO Sean “Diddy” Combs and Akon.

A mock-documentary about Joaquin Phoenix, that was directed last year by Casey Affleck, was screened this week for film buyers in Hollywood. The film will feature Phoenix’s bizzare public appearances, including an stab at rapping.
