Latin rapper Baby Bash will release his Arista debut, “Cyclone,” on Oct. 16. The set features guest spots from Paula DeAnda, T-Pain and Danity Kane’s Andrea, while J.R. Rotem, Jim Jonsin, Felli Fell, Play N Skillz, Ryan Tedder and Happy Perez lend their production talents.
The video for the first single, the Lil’ Jon-produced title track featuring T-Pain, was directed by Malcolm Jones (Lil’ Mama’s “Lip Gloss”). “Cyclone” has already sold more than 190,000 ringtones and 120,000 digital singles, according to Arista.

Voxtrot has been drafted as the support act for Arctic Monkeys’ fall North American tour, which begins Sept. 5 at New York’s Central Park Summerstage. The outing will run through Sept. 30 in Vancouver, after which Voxtrot will play two weeks worth of shows with such acts as 1990s, the Little Ones and House & Parish.
The group is touring in support of its 2007 self-titled album, which debuted at No. 14 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and No. 42 on the Top Independent Albums tally.

Band Of Horses, M.I.A., Vampire Weekend, O’Death, Meat Puppets, Earthless, Celebration, Joan As Policewoman and Takka Takka are among the newly confirmed acts for the 2007 CMJ Music Marathon, to be held Oct. 16-20 in venues throughout New York.
They join previously announced acts such as Spoon, UNKLE, Justice, Coheed & Cambria, the Brunettes, British Sea Power, Jesu, Mates Of State, Rodrido Y Gabriela, Xiu Xiu and Del Tha Funkee Homosapien on the bill.
Early panelist confirmations include the Smiths’ Andy Rourke, Marky Ramone, Pete Rock, Ministry’s Martin Atkins and Brother Ali.
