Eurythmics and the All-American Rejects have joined the performance lineup for the 2005 American Music Awards, which will air live Nov. 22 on ABC from Los Angeles. Eurythmics will perform “I’ve Got a Life,” a new song included on their recent “Ultimate Collection,” while the Rejects will play “Dirty Little Secret.”
debut, rock act Taking Back Sunday is bringing fans up to date on the proceedings via telephone. Last year, the group posted a cell phone number on its Web site and answered as many calls as it could from fans, but this time, its members are selectively calling members of the Taking Back Sunday mailing list.
“This time, we’re going to keep a cell phone on hand with us so we can call you,” the band writes on its Web site. “As long as we have your cell phone info, you could get a call from us while we’re hanging out, riding around, in the studio, whenever.”
Taking Back Sunday has been recording in Los Angeles with producer Eric Valentine. The as-yet-untitled set will is the follow-up to 2004’s “Where You Want To Be,” which has sold 675,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
