Adam Lambert’s New Album Might Be ‘Dark’
Adam Lambert says he’s taking his time to avoid a sophomore slump on his follow-up to debut “For Your Entertainment.” “I’m in talks, so it’s all kind of being conceptualized right now, and what we’re hoping for is maybe by the fall,” Lambert said recently. “It’s going to be very pop, very rock, maybe even a little dark.” The singer predicts that the as-of-yet-unnamed album’s single will be released in late summer. Prince and Madonna End 15-Year Public Feud
Madonna and Prince have supposedly squashed their long-standing beef — or are at least at some level of peace with each other. Madonna attended Prince’s Madison Square Garden Show in NYC on Tuesday (Jan. 18), at which the Purple One gave her a friendly shout-out. Since dating briefly in 1985, both musicians have made digs at the other, both in concert and in interviews. (Rolling Stone)
‘Glee’ Reveals Songs in Valentine’s Day Episode
Glee‘s Matthew Morrison (Mr. Schuester) recently revealed the setlist for the show’s Valentine’s Day episode, which will air Feb. 8. Among the songs to be featured in the episode include Katy Perry’s “Firework,” to be performed by Rachel Berry/Lea Michele. Also included: Queen’s “Fat-Bottomed Girls” (sung by Puck/Mark Salling) Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T.” (Artie/Kevin McHale), Robin Thicke’s “When You Get Alone” (Blaine/Darren Criss and the Warblers), Paul McCartney’s “Silly Love Songs” (the Warblers) and Sinatra’s “My Funny Valentine” (Tina/Jenna Ushkowitz). R&B Singer Monica Secretly Weds L.A. Laker Shannon Brown
Grammy-nominated R&B singer Monica recently confessed that she and beau, L.A. Laker Shannon Brown, were married in a secret wedding held at their residence on November 22 of last year. Rumors began to spread after the singer posted on her Tweeter account a picture of an ostentatious ring on her hand. The couple met during the video shoot for Monica’s “Love All Over Me,” and they still plan to hold a bigger ceremony during the summer — after the singer finishes her upcoming album, the appropriately-titled “New Life.” (Us Weekly)
Wisin & Yandel to Premiere New Album Via Listening Party on Live TV
Bilingual TV channel mun2 will premiere the new album by Wisin & Yandel on Sunday, not via a live performance but a live, intimate listening session with fans. The duo will play its new album, “Los Vaqueros: El Reseo,” due out Jan. 25 on Machete Music, during a live session at the Gibson showroom in Miami. The session will air live on mun2 and will also be streamed live via mun2.tv. Fans will be able to post questions on the mun2 website that Wisin & Yandel can answer live on television. The live session tkes place Jan. 23 at 4 p.m.
‘Paul’s Boutique’ Site Burns Down
The site immortalized on the cover of the Beastie Boys’ album 1989 “Paul’s Boutique” (99 Rivington Street in Manhattan, NY) reportedly caught on fire and burned down last night (Jan. 20), however the exact extent of the damage is currently unknown.
