Here it is — a real contender for weirdest movie trailer of 2015.
Bill Murray stars as a washed-up rock manager Richie Lanz, who finds himself in Afghanistan with his latest star (Zooey Deschanel). When she runs off with his money, Murray must come up with a new plan — which judging by this trailer involves swimming with Kate Hudson, nearly getting killed, and yell-singing his way through a lot of conversations.
The official movie description for Rock the Kasbah, written by Mitch Glazer: “When he finds himself abandoned, penniless and without his passport, he discovers a young girl with an extraordinary voice, who stows away with him back to Kabul to compete on the popular television show The Afghan Star, Afghanistan’s equivalent of American Idol.”
