Lily Allen, Snow Patrol and Kasabian will headline U.K. national top 40 station BBC Radio 1’s “Big Weekend” festival in Swindon on May 9 and 10.
The free music event has a line-up of more than 50 U.K. and international artists. Other acts on the bill include Ne-Yo, Franz Ferdinand, the Script, Akon, Calvin Harris, Doves, the Enemy, Basement Jaxx, Gossip and White Lies.
Radio 1 and 1Xtra will broadcast live from the “Big Weekend,” and BBC digital TV services including BBC Three will screen highlights. The Radio 1 Web site will provide online content, and there is also a BBC “Big Weekend” mobile platform that will offer audio and video downloads, wallpapers, photos and text alerts.
Registration for the 40,000 tickets begins at 8.15am BST on April 15 via the Radio 1 Web site, and runs until April 20. Each successful applicant will receive a pair of tickets for either Saturday or Sunday.
