Danish sister dance-music labels Big Star Records and Media Records Nordic have signed three-year Scandinavian distribution deals with Sweden’s Bonnier Amigo Music Group. Big Star previously handled its own distribution and that of Media Nordic.
Big Star releases in Denmark material by Panjabi MC, DJ Sammy, Ian Van Dahl, Lasgo, Gigi D’Agostino and Armand Van Helden. Media, founded two years ago as part of Media Records International, is parent to the BXR and Nukleuz imprints.
Big Star and Media Nordic owner Oliver Zähringer says, “We are very happy to be able to focus on what we do best — the creative side of the music business — and let others handle sales and distribution. We have been quite successful in the past five years and are quite confident that the success will continue in the years to come.”
