Big Boi is going to have to stay off of the road due to a torn patella in his left knee suffered while performing on May 26 in Chillicothe, Illinois at Summer Camp Fest, his publicist confirms to Billboard. The rapper—one half of hip-hop duo Outkast—has been out promoting his December 2012 solo album “Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors.”
“#backoutcheain6weeks,” he hasttagged on his Instagram feed earlier today after posting a shot of himself in good spirits in a wheelchair. He’ll be on his feet in no time, he promises.
Big Boi’s nationwide headlining Shoes For Running tour was packed with June 2013 dates, which have now been postponed to September. The confirmed rescheduled dates will be on his website shortly.
