Since 2004, Bestival has grown to become one of England’s leading music festival experiences. Now, it takes its award-winning team to Bali for an international affair of fun in the Indonesian sun, making its mark on the ever-expanding frontier of the Asian dance market.
Bestival Bali 2017 hits the island Saturday and Sunday, Sept 30 and Oct. 1. Phase 1 of the lineup included Rudimental, Alt-J, Purity Ring, De La Soul, George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic, and more. Today, Bestival brings even more musical mayhem with Phase 2, dropping names from Pendulum to Bag Raiders, Kilter, and Colour Castle.
“Here we are upping the ante with our first foray into Indonesia’s festival scene,” says festival curator Rob da Bank. “We’ve got some old-school legends, hip-hop wizardry and indie beauties, so we’re adding some serious antipodean vibes with the like of Pendulum, Bag Raiders and Kilter who are all smashing it down under. We’re only a (long) stone’s throw from Australia, so you’ve no excuse. Book ya flight.”
The two-day event makes a landing in the heart of Bali’s Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, a tropical paradise at the bottom of 240-acres of packland between 80-foot limestone-carved cliffs. You can sneak a peek at the premises in the video from Bestival below. Tickets are on sale now. Head over to Bestival Bali 2017 online for more details.
