
Who’s your daddy? Well, the answer can surprise an entire fanbase, especially Diplo‘s after the DJ revealed he had “an entire a– baby during quarantine.”
Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz) posted a touching Mother’s Day tribute dedicated to his mother Barbara Jean Cox; his ex Kathryn Lockhart, with whom he shares sons Lockett and Lazer Lee Louis; and model Jevon King, with whom he shares a newborn son Pace.
But he’s not the only famous father who shocked the world with the news of his baby. Two summers ago when Pusha T and Drake engaged in diss track warfare, Pusha exposed the identity of the Canadian all-star rapper’s firstborn Adonis on “The Story of Adidon” when he spit, “Since you name-dropped my fiancée/ Let ’em know who you chose as your Beyoncé/ Sophie knows better as your baby mother/ Cleaned her up for IG, but the stench is on her/ A baby’s involved, it’s deeper than rap/ We talkin’ character, let me keep with the facts/ You are hiding a child, let that boy come home/ Deadbeat mothaf—a playin’ border patrol, ooh/ Adonis is your son.”
Drake (real name Aubrey Drake Graham) took matters into his own hands by surprising his fans with the first picture of his two-year-old toddler on his Instagram. “I love and miss my beautiful family and friends and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite,” 6 God wrote in March while quarantined away from Adonis and his mother Sophie Brussaux.
Although Childish Gambino has yet to show pictures of either of his two sons, he likes to spill the beans during his acceptance speeches at awards shows. The multihyphenate (real name Donald Glover) took the stage at the 2017 Golden Globes to accept the award for best actor in a comedy series for his hit FX show Atlanta and thank his girlfriend Michelle and their firstborn child. “I really want to say thank you to my son and the mother of my son for making me believe in people again and things being possible, so thank you,” he said at the time, while only revealing his name Legend during his Governors Ball 2017 performance.
Gambino confirmed Michelle was pregnant again with their second baby while accepting the award for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series for Atlanta at the 2017 Emmys. “I want to thank my baby, my son, for just being the joy in my life. I want to thank my unborn son, we’re listening to Stevie tonight.”
