Dierks Bentley’s first greatest hits collection, due May 6 on Capitol Nashville, finally has a name: “Greatest Hits/Every Mile A Memory 2003-2008.” Bentley, who had asked his fans to name, sequence and pick the cover art for the album, made the announcement April 1 during an online town hall meeting virtually attended by 2,000 fans at dierks.com. At the end of the meeting, Bentley performed acoustically and premiered his new video.
The first 3,000 fans that participated in what was known as “DB Hits: The Fan Project” will be listed as executive producers in the album’s liner notes and a donation will be made to Vanderbilt Childrens’ Hospital in their honor.
In addition to Bentley’s radio hits, the set will include live versions of “So So Long,” “Lot of Leavin’ Left To Do,” “Wish It Would Break” and “Free Easy (Down The Road I Go).” It will also include two new tracks, “With The Band” and “Sweet Wild” (featuring Sarah Buxton).
Bentley has scored eight top 10 singles on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, including five No. 1s. His current single, “Trying To Stop Your Leaving,” is at No. 17 on the airplay chart.
