Beck, TV On The Radio, Gym Class Heroes and Imogen Heap have been tapped to perform at this year’s mtvU Woodie Awards ceremony. As previously reported, the event will be held Oct. 25 at New York’s Roseland Ballroom and broadcast Nov. 2 on mtvU and mtvU.com.
Imogen Heap, along with Arctic Monkeys, received the most nominations this year from the college music network, including best emerging artist. Hip-hop quintet Gym Class Heroes is nominated for Woodie of the Year for the song “The Queen & I.”
In related news, Imogen Heap’s 1998 Almo Sounds debut, “I Megaphone,” will be reissued Nov. 14 via Universal Music Enterprises. The set has been out of print for several years.
