Nearly a week after headlining his biggest hometown concert at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, Beck has been tapped for the Nov. 10 opening of the new Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles.
Developed and booked by AEG Live, the 2,300-capacity Club Nokia is part of the $2.5 billion L.A. Live sports and entertainment project, which sits adjacent to the Staples Center and Los Angeles Convention Center.
Goldenvoice talent buyer Lesley Olenik books Club Nokia.
Other acts scheduled to perform at Club Nokia through December include Lupe Fiasco, Taking Back Sunday, Calle 13, the B-52s, Matisyahu, Usher, In Flames, Nas, Bret Michaels, Gretchen Wilson, Etta James, X, B.B. King and Morris Day & the Time, among others.
Tickets for Beck’s concert go on sale Saturday (Sept. 27) via Ticketmaster.
Last October, the Eagles and Dixie Chicks christened the 7,100-seat Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. The venue debuted strong with six sellout concerts by the Eagles and Dixie Chicks, which collectively grossed more than $9 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.
