Bebe Rexha didn’t skimp on style in her Director X-helmed visual, ‘The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)’ featuring Lil Wayne. As she struts down the street in her light wash boyfriend jeans, white bodysuit, red suede Tamara Mellon block heels and cropped red leather jacket from Vetements, Rexha joins a multinational crew of backup dancers and shows off her knack for Bollywood choreography.
Stylist and Creative Director Christian Classen exclusively tells Billboard that, “Her color palette is red, white, and blue to represent the USA as she travels NYC dancing with all cultures.” He adds that “music video fashion is often so wild and out there; we wanted a look that was iconic and something relatable that anyone could easily replicate.”

Never one to shy away from making a stylish statement, Rexha mixed metals, wearing the silver hardware off her eye-catching jacket with a pair of three-inch yellow gold hoop earrings from Jennifer Fisher. She sports an extra-wide diamond cuff bracelet on each wrist along with her signature nameplate necklace, which she previously told Billboard is a “very important staple for me. I never take my nameplate off; it’s very New York City, Sex and the City.” Pulling together her first outfit is a pair of feminine, pink and white cat eye frames from Alain Mikli.
After Weezy drops his verse, Rexha serves up a second, vintage-inspired outfit: an all black look complete with Stuart Weitzman boots, that was inspired by Olivia Newton John’s character Sandy from the 1978 hit musical Grease. “It’s one of the most iconic dance scenes in movie history, and I wanted to play into that for a song that inspires you to get up and dance,” adds Classen.
‘The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)’ is the debut single and video off Bebe’s album All Your Fault: Part 2, which is out early this summer. Watch the full music video below.
