This week’s new music releases brought out the A-teams. But which one deserves a trophy for being your favorite?
Travis Scott, Young Thug and M.I.A. enlist an additional member to their Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “Franchise” — Future. The high-octane remix shoots off with Pluto fronting with his verse, shouting out his Super Slimey brother Thugger on the track.
Bebe Rexha and Doja Cat form a dream team that makes listeners want to say, “Baby I’m Jealous.” Their all-too-relatable anthem scrolls through verses about feeling insecure when finding prettier girls on Instagram. “Baby, I’m jealous/ Of the pictures that you like/ Baby, I’m jealous/ Of the girls with lighter eyes,” Rexha sings on the chorus.
But Lil Wayne recruits Young Money stars Gudda Gudda and HoodyBaby to his “NFL” roster. Featured on the new official soundtrack to Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime, Weezy and co. pass verses to one another, “ballin’ like we at the Super Bowl” with their game-day metaphors on the doom-y Boi-1da- and !llmind-produced beat.
