All princesses grow up eventually, and Thursday night was Christina Milian’s turn. The R&B hottie celebrated her 30th birthday at Kiss & Fly in New York City’s Meatpacking District.
The birthday girl and her posse held court in the club’s sumptuous VIP section, with sparkler-adorned bottles of champagne and vodka arriving in bulk, clusters of helium-filled balloons competing for ceiling space, and several rounds of shots courtesy of R&B auteur Maxwell and Rocsi of BET’s “106th and Park.” Others on hand to help Ms. Milian ring in her personal new year include film and music video director Jessy Terrero, manager James Cruz, and BMI execs Ian Holder and Wardell Malloy.
Strobe lights and lasers illuminated the club as DJ Big Ben spun a Red Bull-fueled mix of hip-hop hits and fist pump anthems. Drunken revelers stumbled through the club, clutching bottles and reciting lyrics to the dirty versions of their favorite radio hits.
Though her night in the city ended, the celebration certainly didn’t. Christina ran it back last night at Supperclub in Los Angeles. If she partied as hard in Cali as she did in NYC, let’s hope she got some much-needed rest on the plane.
