Hip-hop, cartoons and
the Hamptons make for strange bedfellows, but they combined for a great day last Saturday (June 22), when Nickelodeon hosted a private party with rapper
Theophilus London celebrating the launch of
the SpongeBob x LVRS apparel line, a collaboration between
Nickelodeon and London that will hit stores later this summer.
“SpongeBob is a legendary pop culture icon,” London said.
“It’s a dream come true collaborating with him. I grew up watching him and
if he was real, I would totally hang out with him.” The event, held on the spacious grounds of the
Edifice House in South Hampton, N.Y., featured a
tequila bar, barbecue, a
dunk tank and ping pong as well as renowned DJs
Ali Shaheed of A Tribe Called Quest and
Jasmine Solano on the wheels. Pictured party-goers here (from left) J

Mel Peralta, co-owner of Flud Watches; and the cartoon-character of the hour himself (looking as if he may have hit the tequila bar a bit too hard).
