Andy Samberg stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers yesterday to talk about his longstanding comedy group The Lonely Island. They recently moved into a “mindblowingly awesome” new office in L.A., which also happens to be the former office of Babyface, the R&B triple-threat known for his work as a singer, songwriter, and producer.

Songs written and produced by Babyface ruled the airwaves during the ’90s: TLC‘s “Baby-Baby-Baby,” Boyz II Men‘s “End Of The Road,” and Madonna‘s “Take A Bow” are just a few examples. Babyface had several solo hits as well.

Samberg told Meyers that the Lonely Island are “huge fans” of the legendary producer. The Lonely Island have had some musical success of their own, releasing three full-length albums; the most recent, The Wack Album, came out in 2013 and peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. Incredibad, from 2009, spawned several hits, including “I Just Had Sex,” featuring Akon (No. 30 on the Hot 100), and “I’m On A Boat,” with T-Pain, which spent 20 weeks on the charts.
Babyface left a “snow white” piano at the office, so look for that in future Lonely Island tracks. Watch the Meyers interview Samberg below.
