The 2015 VMAs opened with one beef getting squashed (Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj performed together following their brief Twitter back-and-forth) and another getting blown wide open when Minaj called out host Miley Cyrus for comments she gave to The New York Times.
Some people are Team Miley, other Team Nicki, but today, one vocal culture commentator has come out in favor of Team I Hate Everything.
Azealia Banks, who seemingly just caught wind of the Sunday night ceremony, tweeted that it was “funny” to see Cyrus, Minaj and Swift “fighting when you ALL make basic ass music.”
It’s so funny to wake up and see nicki and Miley or nicki and taylor fighting when you ALL make basic ass music. it’s a ki !!!

Banks went on to accuse the trio of ripping off “downtown NYC girls” when it comes to style, a critique that Minaj — who hails from Queens — would presumably take umbrage with (if she ever sees the tweet).
All of y’all bitches are whack and make boring music and rip all ur styles off the downtown NYC girls

For the record, this is far from the first time Banks has come after Minaj — she’s been calling the Young Money rapper boring for years, but Minaj hasn’t deigned to directly respond to Banks.
Minaj did, however, make it clear that things are copacetic between her and Swift, writing, “Love the conversations I have with this girl behind the scenes” about her on Instagram.
