Avril Lavigne, Sheryl Crow and Fiona Apple will headline the first Girlfrenzy music festival, to be held Oct. 27 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, Calif. Colbie Caillat, Sara Bareilles and Antigone Rising are also on the bill for the event.
Girlfrenzy was created by Right Arm Entertainment, best known for the Rock on the Range festival, which in May sold out Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, with a bill featuring Evanescence, Velvet Revolver and ZZ Top.
Tickets for Girlfrenzy go on sale Saturday (Aug. 25) via Ticketmaster. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
For Lavigne, Girlfrenzy will be her first U.S. show of the fall, following three October dates in Mexico. Crow has only two other gigs on tap for the fall (Oct. 19-20 in Atlantic City, N.J.), while Apple has no other dates booked in the months ahead.
