Urban bachata group Aventura will play a fifth consecutive show in Puerto Rico’s Coliseum, establishing a new record for most consecutive performances at the venue.
Aventura plays its first show tonight (Dec. 4), and then will play Dec. 5, 6, 7 and 10. The new show was added just last week after the four first performances sold out. Puerto Rico’s Coliseum can sit up to 18,000.
To date, Aventura has sold more than 65,000 tickets to the venue, according to a Coliseum spokesperson, valued at more than $3.5 million. Ticket prices for the show range from $45 to $90.
Prior to Aventura, the record of most consecutive shows at the Coliseum belonged to Ricky Martin, who played four consecutive shows. Aventura has also broken the record for the most tickets sold in the least amount of time for the venue.
