Shock Entertainment, one of Australia’s largest independent music and DVD companies, has merged its promo, marketing and online/digital departments.
The 12 staffers in these divisions are now part of a new entity called the Media Department.
National marketing manager Scot Crawford assumes the newly-created position of director of marketing and media. Crawford reports to Melbourne-based CEO, Marcus Seal.
Included among the other changes, Mishell Vreman and Maree Nardone take over the roles of national media managers, while George Hatzigeorgiou remains national publicity manager, and Emily Kelly becomes media and publicity manager.
“The idea is to give a unified approach to our CD and DVD releases, and make sure both our mainstream and niche titles get equal focus,” Seal tells Billboard.biz. “The realistic forecasts we set last year are being exceeded on both domestic and international fronts for music. Coupled with a very strong DVD catalog, which is getting stronger by the day, we’re very confident of continued growth in the year ahead.”
Shock Entertainment does not divulge year-on-year figures.
