Austin Mahone has released his fair share of dance cuts — who could forget “Mmm Yeah,” “Till I Find You” or “Banga! Banga!”? But to preview his debut release “The Secret,” the 18-year-old has switched gears and released a down-tempo love song, “All I Ever Need.” Listen below:
“Don’t the stars light the sky/Like you need to light my life?” Mahone croons on the slow jam, which he released on Monday night (May 12). “All I Ever Need” is a fairly standard, slickly produced pop ballad, allowing Mahone to show off his earnest falsetto and remain unscathed in spite of the clumsy lyrics.

Mahone’s “The Secret” will be revealed on May 27, after the singer made his Hot 100 debut with the single “What About Love” last year. On last week’s Hot 100 chart, “Mmm Yeah” featuring Pitbull climbed to No. 50, and the song has previously peaked at No. 49 on the tally.
On July 25, Mahone will kick off a headlining North American tour, which will be presented by MTV. The Vamps and Fifth Harmony will be among the support acts on select dates of the tour.
