Warner Music Group has promoted Aton Ben-Horin from senior director, global A&R to global VP, A&R, Billboard can reveal.
Ben-Horin has contributed his A&R or music production skills to a string of the major’s hits, including Flo Rida’s “My House” and “G.D.F.R.,” Jason Derulo’s “Talk Dirty” and “Wiggle,” and David Guetta’s “Hey Mama” and “Bad.” He’s also owner and CEO of Plush Management LLC and Plush Recording Studios.
“Through his hands-on experience as a producer, DJ, studio owner, and A&R exec, Aton has a rare depth of experience,” said Mike Caren, creative officer for WMG, to whom Ben-Horin continues to report.
“He has an acute understanding of what it takes to make a hit record and is a trusted advisor to WMG’s artists and global teams,” adds Caren. “This is a richly deserved promotion, and I look forward to our continued collaborations.”
In this new role, Ben-Horin will continue to provide A&R resources and creative support across WMG’s labels, in the U.S. and abroad, and will help shape new talent and the label’s existing roster.
Ben-Horin’s elevation is part of the continued bolstering of Caren’s team.
