CORAL-ATIONKeith,
Was the Coral’s self-titled debut album released in the U.S.? If so, how many copies has it sold?
John Boylan
Herts, EnglandHi John,
The Coral’s self-titled debut was released on March 4 through Columbia. Since then, it has sold 26,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album has so far peaked at No. 189 on The Billboard 200 and No. 13 on Heatseekers.
QUEER EARDear Keith,
Thanks so much for answering all of our questions each week. You definitely have made me so much more knowledgeable about music!
I have a question for you about the new hit TV show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” I am wondering if you know the name of the theme song featured on the show and if it is an actual single or if it was written specifically for the show. It is such a catchy tune and would probably make a great club hit if it has not been one already.
I would appreciate it if you could answer this for me and all of the other curious readers (both gay and straight!) who are also wondering.
Thanks a lot!
Sam JaegerHi Sam,
An act named Widelife wrote and composed the “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” theme song. Simone Denny is the featured vocalist on the song, which is titled “All Things.” There are plans to release the song commercially, but nothing concrete has yet been announced.
The production/remix team has scored a number of hits on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Club Play chart, including: LeAnn Rimes’ “Tic Toc” (No. 10), Faith Trent’s “Body [Reach Out]” (No. 5) and their own single, “I Don’t Want U,” which reached No. 1 in October 2002.

A WHOLE LOTTA ‘LICKS’Hi Keith,
Could you tell me how many copies the Rolling Stones CD “Forty Licks” has sold? I think it was certified quadruple platinum (by the Recording Industry Association of America) because it is a double album. Is it still on The Billboard 200?
Thanks!
Laura
ArgentinaHi Laura,
The Rolling Stones’ “Forty Licks” has sold 2 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Because it is a double-album, and meets the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) assorted required criteria, it is eligible to be certified at twice the actual number of units shipped. Therefore, the RIAA has certified the set quadruple platinum for U.S. shipments of 4 million copies.
The album isn’t on The Billboard 200 as of the Aug. 9 issue of the magazine; however, expect it to re-enter the chart next week.
