ASCAP announced on Thursday (Nov. 1) that registration for its 14th annual “I Create Music” Expo is now open. The expo is set to take place on May 2-4, 2019, at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles.
The “I Create Music” Expo is a conference specifically designed for songwriters, featuring business panels, workshops, master classes and keynote speakers. The expo additionally provides its attendees networking opportunities with established songwriters and producers in the music industry.
Successful attendees of the conference include Meghan Trainor (“All About That Bass”), LELAND (“Youth,” Troye Sivan), Vincent Berry (“Sandcastles,” Beyoncé) and more. Though next year’s keynote speakers have yet to be announced, Sara Bareilles, John Mayer, Quincy Jones, Justin Timberlake, and other music industry giants have spoken at the annual conference in the past.
“Every year, EXPO brings together a community of music creators from all over the world for three days of learning, networking and the chance to share their passions with each other,” said ASCAP EVP and Chief Marketing Officer Lauren Iossa in a statement. “We look forward to seeing every single one of our attendees and know that they will leave EXPO inspired and ready to reach for the next stage of their careers.”
