The trio are the faces of the Italian House’s latest collection, spearheaded by Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele. In the Harmony Korine-directed campaign clip shared on Tuesday (Sept. 29), Iggy lounges in a luxurious, 70s-style Los Angeles mansion in a sleek leopard print suit. Soon enough, A$AP and Tyler roll up looking equally as bold-yet-chic. The group then delves into an afternoon of fun, busting a move around the home as exotic parrots come and sit on their shoulders.
“Male elegance can be unpredictable and strange,” Michele told Forbes was the idea behind the campaign, which was shot pre-COVID in February.
“The result is a group campaign with three men who I believe had fun too,” he continued. “There is always this image of eccentricity, because they are in fact eccentric themselves. A certain type of fun is also portrayed and the idea of how one’s obsession with appearances can create a kind of common ground that can become a sort of brotherhood. It was beautiful to see these three men together, seemingly different but very similar.”
