
Ariana Grande has been going nonstop since her new album My Everything debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in early September. The latest bump in her career is a leading voice-acting role in Underdogs, an animated family film happening at the Weinstein Company. According to The Wrap, Grande joins a cast that includes Katie Holmes, John Leguizamo, Matthew Morrison of Glee, X-Men‘s Nicholas Hoult, and SNL‘s Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan.
Underdogs, directed by Oscar-winner Juan Jose Campanella, will hit theaters on April 10, 2015. The plot involves a childhood foosball rivalry that turns into a magical adventure. Before putting out two No. 1 albums in less than a year, Grande got her start as an actress on Nickelodeon’s Victorious and Sam & Cat. She’s also done the voice acting thing before, for Winx Club, an animated children’s series.
