Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have both been sporting “8418” tattoos to symbolize the badge number the SNL star’s late father wore as an NYC firefighter. However, fans think the ink could mean something more.
Observant Twitter users have a theory that the number actually reads as 8/4/18 and predicted the couple will get married on August 4, which is just a few weeks away. Neither Ari nor Pete have confirmed a wedding date, but Davidson gave his fiancee his dad’s New York Fire Department pendant. He noted in the Instagram comment section: “I gave it to her because she has my heart and that is the most precious thing I own. My dad would be so happy and love her so much.”
See the best theory tweets below. It’s admittedly pretty convincing.
the tattoo they both have for his father are the numbers 8418, his badge number

I’m going to go ahead and make the prediction that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson will wed on August 4, 2018. 8418 was Pete’s late dad’s badge number, and it is clearly significant to both of them. It could also explain the “rushed” engagement.
