Here’s some good news from one of indie rock’s most prominent couples — Arcade Fire’s husband-wife duo Win Butler and Régine Chassagne have welcomed a seven-pound baby boy into the world.
The baby (whose name is not yet known) was born Sunday, April 21. The news was broken by Barry Mack, a pastor at Montreal’s St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Saint-Lambert, who informed Le Journal de Montreal.
Mack remaked (via a rough French-to-English translation), “It’s good to see that they are still together and they now have a baby. It’s a bit rare in the entertainment industry.”
No kidding! And another Arcade Fire baby is on the way. According to a photo shared by fansite ArcadeFireTube, the band’s Marika Anthony-Shaw is also expecting.
Arcade Fire’s highly anticipated fourth studio album (which features production from ex-LCD Soundsystem leader James Murphy) is due for release sometime later this year.
