Joe Diffie has signed a deal with Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar to use his song, “Pickup Man,” in the chain’s Carside-To-Go-Campaign. A re-written version of the track will appear on national television and radio spots throughout 2005 advertising the restaurant’s curbside food pickup.
“Pickup Man” spent four weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Singles & Tracks chart in 1994 during Diffie’s ten-year tenure on Epic Nashville. Diffie currently records for Broken Bow Records.
